This January recruitment period is always a time of feverish rumour and potential big-money deals. A number of notable stars are being linked with moves out of their current clubs. We examine some of the key figures that might be on the move in January.

A. Semenyo

The much-admired Netherlands midfielder has drawn parallels to Kevin De Bruyne for his style of play. After impressing at the Under-19 European Championship, Smit has broken into the AZ side. The 19-year-old is heavily tipped to make a big-money transfer in January. Newcastle United reportedly are frontrunners, but are facing stiff competition from Real Madrid for a signing priced at approximately twenty-two million pounds.
